Tinkering before NFL Week 5, fantasy football lineups
So, as i sit here prepping for NFL Week 5, I just finished some reorganizing in the studio, and adding yet more features to my media center. Today’s addition was Windows XP…as an application within my Ubuntu install. Now I can use some of my favorite windows programs within linux. Here’s a screenshot of what I mean:
Just shuffled my fantasy football lineups for the last time (Jericho Cotchery is doubtful and both of my QB’s in the 2 leagues are on bye weeks, so let’s hope for the best). I’m kicking back, watching ESPN up until kickoff. *sigh of relief*

Sunday: NFL Week 4, update, etc
So, to follow up yesterday’s post where I mentioned attempting to record 2 songs, one of which wasn’t completed, and just relaxing:
I only ended up recording one song, entitled “Still Do” produced by MIDI Marc. I like the direction of the song so far, but I may re-record it as I’m still looking for the proper sound-proofing set up since my vocal booth burned in the fire.
Today is the start of a 7-week sacrifice to rekindle the spiritual connection between members of my church (Savannah Grove Baptist Church). The fiancee and I have decided to sacrifice some things dear to us for 7 weeks. I’m sacrificing fast food and she’s sacrificing soda. I am technically sacrificing soda too, but I rarely drink soda so that’s not a big deal.
As for today, I’m watching NFL football with my grandmother and my step-grandfather (is that even a valid term?). So we’re pretty much chilling. I’ll get back to work maybe tonight or tomorrow. Expect a blog this week explaining the concept of my album “Alpha Writer.”
The Weekend is here
So its the weekend, and not only do I expect to kick back and relax, but I have 2 songs that I aim to record. One is pretty much complete, needing only some tweaks to the hook, and the other may be a one verse jawn with a concept. Its not even 8am and I’m already on one. Jeah!

Updates long overdue
I want to apologize for the lack of updates on the blog, but for some reason, blogging has not been flowing lately. but a lot of things are in the works, so expect more updates.
for example, ak is coming tomorrow to finish up his album, “Sinner’s therapy,” and i plan to knock out a song for my little side project, tentatively entitled “Alpha Writer.”
anyway, i’ll do better to work on the updates. thanks for your patience

Allow me to re-invent myself…
…the name is Dan, D to the A-N. haha. what’s good world? As the entertainment industry turns itself up-side down, I find myself relating more to the painter in the studio painting, than the painting being on display in the art exhibit.
The business of music is such a …..business. The natural process of inspiration, dedication then creation is compromised by release dates, red tape, and over-saturation.
Right now, i’m going through the motions of having a completed project ready to go, but things have hit a stumbling block on the business side of things, and its kind of a buzz kill.
The blog hasn’t been updated in a while, but i’m still on the job, working things out in my own way. Stay tuned, and you’ll all be witnesses.
